Local SEO for Genoa and the Scrivia Valley
When someone searches "hardware shop Busalla" or "dentist near me", Google first shows a map with three businesses. My job is to give you what it takes to compete for one of those spots.

An illustration, not a real map of your catchment area.
Where you need to appear, with the same details everywhere
- Google Business Profile
- Apple Business Connect (iPhone maps)
- Bing Places
- Pagine Gialle (the Italian Yellow Pages)
- Directories in your sector (TripAdvisor or Booking if you’re in hospitality, for example)
- Your own website, contact page included
How people search around here
In the valley, people search by village: "pizzeria Ronco Scrivia", "plumber Casella", "B&B Isola del Cantone". In Genoa they search by neighbourhood, because nobody crosses the city for a coffee: "hairdresser Sampierdarena", "accountant Albaro".
On a phone, more and more often, they don’t type the place at all. They type "near me" and Google uses their location.
Why your profile matters, sometimes more than your site
In lots of local searches, people never reach your website. They call from the profile, tap for directions, read two reviews and decide right there. If your profile has the wrong hours, photos from 2016 or the wrong category, you lose the customer before they’ve even met you.
What I do once, and then every month
Setup (one-off)
- Google Business Profile: creation or recovery, verification, primary and secondary categories, services, opening hours (holidays included), service area, description
- Practical advice on which photos you need and how to take them well on a phone
- Name, address and phone written identically everywhere (known in the trade as NAP)
- Local citations: Bing Places, Apple Business Connect, Pagine Gialle and the directories that matter in your sector
- LocalBusiness structured data on your site
- A simple way to ask customers for reviews: a direct link and a message ready to copy
Monthly management
- Posts on your profile (news, offers, events)
- Review replies: I draft them or post them myself, whichever you prefer
- Checking edits suggested by the public (yes, anyone can propose wrong opening hours for your business, and Google sometimes accepts them)
- Updates for public holidays, time off and closures
- A monthly report with your profile data: calls, direction requests, website visits
I don't write fake reviews and I don't buy them. It's unfair on your customers, and when Google catches them, it deletes them.
What it costs
You can do the setup on its own. Monthly management is for when you want the profile kept alive without having to think about it.
No VAT applied: Italian flat-rate scheme, Art. 1(54–89) Law 190/2014.
"From" prices are a starting point. The final price is in your written quote, before I start any work.
No position on Google is guaranteed, by me or by anyone else. Results are measured over time, with no promises about position.
